2008 TEXAS AFFILIATE CAMP (TAC) GIRLS AGES 11-18 PURPOSE • To select a limited number of players at each age group and position to represent Texas at the Rocky Mountain District (RMD) Camp to be held April 30- May 4 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Players who advance to the RMD Camp will compete for a spot at the U.S. National Select Festival Camps held over the summer. At the conclusion of the last on-ice session of TAC, a list of those players who have been selected to advance to the RMD Camp will be posted on the TAHA website. Each player selected to the RMD Camp will be contacted via email with registration instructions. • To select the best players in Texas to participate in the Texas Player Development Program (TXPDP). Specifics on the TXPDP will be out shortly. At the conclusion of the last on-ice session of TAC, a list of those players who have been selected to participate in the TXPDP will also be posted on the TAHA website. Each player interested in participating in the TXPDP must complete a registration form and pay the $600 TXPDP fee prior to leaving the Dr Pepper StarCenter, or her spot will be awarded to another player with NO EXCEPTIONS. If a player is not chosen their fee will be refunded. • To select the best high school age players to play on Team Texas in the Community Olympic Development Program (CODP) Tournament in Blaine, Minnesota in July (schedule to be announced). The CODP is the Minnesota equivalent of TXPDP and is a U.S. Olympic Committee sponsored program that has produced many current Olympic team players. • To expose girls to college and national level coaches who will serve as both the coaches and evaluators of TAC. All eligible players are encouraged to attend. To be eligible, girls must be registered and in good standing with USA Hockey, must be a resident of the State of Texas or Oklahoma, and must have been born in one of years listed below. A copy of the player’s birth certificate is required when checking in on the first day of TAC. 1997*, 1996*, 1995*, 1994, 1993, 1992, 1991, 1990, 1989* * 1997, 1996, 1995 and 1989 birth years and non-U.S. citizens are eligible for the Texas Player Development Program (TXPDP), but can not advance to the Rocky Mountain District Camp. REGISTRATION DEADLINE March 7, 2008 Registration will be done electronically online through a 3rd party service (e.g. Rocky Mountain Register or RMR) that has been contracted by TAHA to help automate the player registration process. All data submitted must be accurate (especially email addresses), secure, and will be kept confidential. • Please go to www.rockymountainregister.com/enroll/TACGirls/ in order to register for TAC. You will be able to print documents from the website that will be required when checking in for TAC on Sat March 22 at DPSC Farmers Branch. • Online payment must be made by credit or debit card (Visa or MC only). This year’s camp fee is $100 per player to be collected by RMR. Personal checks will not be accepted. • All players will need to register for TAC with RMR by Fri Mar-7 in order to participate in TAC (NO EXCEPTIONS).
