NEW OFFICIALS 

INFORMATION MEETING 

FOR THE SPRING/ SUMMER 2008 SEASON 

 

If you are interested in becoming an ice hockey official, Metroplex Ice Hockey 
Officials Association (MHOA) will be conducting two informational meetings to 
address the commitment, skills and criteria required of the candidates and 
answer any questions. Candidate officials enter MHOA's Mentor Program, a 
training program focused on the initial skill development of new officials. 

 

Meetings

March 24, 2008: 

Where: Star Center - Plano, Plano, TX 

Time: 6:45pm - 9:30pm 

 

March 25, 2008: 

Where: Star Center - Euless, Euless TX 

Time: 7:15pm - 10:00pm 

 

The meetings are geographically located and will include a one-hour 
presentation and approximately one hour of ice time. There are no additional 
meetings of this type scheduled until fall 2008 and attendance is required to be 
considered for entry into MHOA Mentor Program. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be 14 years old by May15, 2008. If the candidate is under 17 
years old, a parent must attend the entire meeting. 

 

Ice Session will require hockey skates (no goalie or figure skates permitted), 
helmet (face shields removed), wind suit or sweatshirt/pants.\ 

Jeans, T-shirts, cut offs/ shorts will not be permitted on the ice. No 
exceptions! 

 

Pad and Pencil(s) for note taking.
